9/13/2008 Photokina 2008: Panasonic announces the first Micro Four Thirds Lumix G1 camera

We are very excited about this development because the G1 (and the Micro Four Thirds system in general) has interchangeable lenses and no mirror. No mirror means no mirror shake, smaller camera sizes and still allows larger sensors compared to typical consumer digicams. This demands an excellent EVF (electronic viewfinder) and fast contrast AF. We have to see what Panasonic has done here. We try to gets our hands on one of these cameras as soon as possible.
